About the Role

Genesis10 is seeking a Business Development Director in the Healthcare segment. This is a full time position that will work remotely, with 50-75% travel. The role involves leading growth in healthcare dining solutions, building relationships with health systems, and navigating complex sales environments to deliver innovative culinary management services to hospitals and health networks. The company is a top culinary management provider specializing in healthcare dining, with over 15,000 team members serving more than 1,300 client accounts nationwide, emphasizing fast movement and impactful change in healthcare food services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead growth in healthcare by driving new business through selling dining solutions into hospitals, IDNs, and regional health systems
  • Identify and pursue strategic opportunities via direct outreach, healthcare networks, and GPO partnerships
  • Craft compelling proposals and lead the full sales process from discovery to close
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders, procurement teams, and clinical leaders
  • Leverage healthcare Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) knowledge to navigate buying processes and gain competitive advantage
  • Build strong relationships with GPO representatives and utilize contract vehicles to accelerate market access
  • Lead retention efforts for key clients, especially those with complex, multi-site footprints
  • Develop win-back and renewal strategies to retain and expand strategic accounts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operational transitions
  • Represent the company at healthcare conferences, industry events, and networking forums
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to position for success

Requirements

  • 3+ years of strategic sales experience in contract foodservice, preferably selling into hospitals, IDNs, or health systems
  • Experience working for or selling through a Healthcare GPO (e.g., Premier, Vizient, HealthTrust) is a major plus
  • Proven ability to close complex, high-value, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Strong communication, executive presence, and storytelling skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment
  • Bachelor's degree required

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling into hospitals, IDNs, or health systems
  • Experience with healthcare GPOs such as Premier, Vizient, or HealthTrust

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of strategic sales experience in contract foodservice or healthcare sales
