Business Development Director

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business development and customer acquisition initiatives across the North American market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 customers, enhancing brand presence and long-term loyalty.
• Navigate customer decision-making processes and coordinate with stakeholders to secure design wins.
• Identify and pursue new program opportunities to drive pipeline growth.
• Partner with internal cross-functional teams—including product development, engineering, and technical support—to deliver solutions.
• Proactively resolve issues related to cost, quality, delivery, and overall program performance.
• Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis to assess risks and identify emerging trends and growth opportunities.
• Support go-to-market planning by working closely with internal technical and marketing teams to evaluate new market segments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or account management.
• Proven track record of success in the consumer electronics industry.
• Strong experience working with Tier 1 clients and driving long-term business growth.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global matrix organization.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin is required.

Nice to Have

• Experience in optical, AR, or VR industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
