About the Role

The Business Development Director at Waters Corporation is responsible for developing enterprise-level solutions, tailoring service plans to key accounts, and collaborating with various teams to ensure solutions are profitable and executable. The role involves analyzing the competitive landscape, building financial models, and establishing metrics to measure success, all within a company that pioneers innovations in chromatography, mass spectrometry, and thermal analysis serving the life, materials, and food sciences sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Develop tailored service plans that align with each key account's unique needs while maintaining profitability.
Collaborate with finance, regions, and service delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are executable and profitable.
Monitor, develop, and maintain analysis of the competitive landscape and anticipate market responses to the evolving enterprise approach.
Build financial models that clearly demonstrate value to clients while protecting margins.
Partner with account teams to present and implement customized solutions.
Establish metrics and tracking systems to measure the success of enterprise solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration, business or data analytics, or finance; MBA preferred.
8-10 years of appropriate experience or relevant scientific business/commercial experience.
Strong business acumen and strategic mindset.
Experience with data analytics tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
Established experience in customer relationship management and business development.
Clear understanding of business needs and challenges.
Ability to collaborate, coordinate, align, and motivate teams.
Strong influencing capabilities.

Nice to Have

MBA or foreign degree equivalent.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, business or data analytics, or finance.
MBA preferred.
