About the Role

The Business Development Executive (Buy Side Trading Solutions) is responsible for deepening industry knowledge, serving in a consultative role to prospects, and applying processes to evaluate market strategies and deal requirements. The role involves working closely with product and trading teams to define and implement commercial solutions for multi-asset trading and portfolio transitions, with a focus on buy-side market participants such as asset managers and asset owners. The position requires a strong understanding of capital markets, financial instruments, and regulatory landscape, along with a drive to innovate using new technologies including AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend industry events, seminars, and conferences to deepen and broaden knowledge of industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Serve in a consultative role to prospects and apply defined processes and tools to screen and evaluate prospects by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, growth potential, financials, and product offerings.
  • Work with Product and Trading teams to define, design, and implement commercial solutions for multi-asset trading and portfolio transitions.
  • Continuously educate and upskill through internal and external resources such as seminars, conferences, and training.
  • Build and maintain client relations with complex institutions, demonstrating strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Identify and innovate new process and technology solutions, especially through the usage of AI.
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced, lean environment while maintaining a collaborative and service-oriented approach.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a sales or strategy role at a buy-side or sell-side institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of US and global capital markets, financial instruments, market structure, and regulatory landscape, with a focus on buy-side market participants.
  • Experience working with Product and Trading teams to develop commercial solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues and incorporate feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and identify new process and technology solutions, especially through usage of AI.
  • FINRA Series 7 certification.
