About the Role

The Business Development Manager at SPG International LLC is responsible for growing the company's market position and achieving financial growth by building new key customer relationships and identifying business opportunities. The role involves strategic planning, market analysis, and close collaboration with leadership to create and execute sales plans that align with the company's growth targets. The position requires a thorough knowledge of the market, solutions, services, and competitors, with a focus on developing new business pipelines and maintaining client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, manage and implement a comprehensive strategy in line with the business needs, maximizing profitability and consistency.
  • Develop strategic plans including short, mid and long-term account targets and sales objectives.
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into new business.
  • Analyze sales levels to assure attainment of objectives.
  • Identify industry trends and track industry-related events, publications, and individual contributions.
  • Locate or propose potential business deals by discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Work with the internal team to develop proposals that address client needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Present products and services to new clients.
  • Participate in pricing solutions and services.
  • Handle objections by clarifying agreements and working through differences to a positive outcome.
  • Monitor sales revenue and profitability for new accounts and work with management to maximize both.
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data accuracy.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help close deals to meet targets.
  • Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met.
  • Serve as liaison between customers and other departments to foster communication, manage project timelines, and resolve customer concerns.
  • Study, analyze, and understand market and business trends to anticipate their impact on key accounts and recommend new strategies.
  • Provide training and consulting services to customers as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing, or relevant experience in sales and marketing.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of proven sales and account management experience.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Networking, persuasion, closing skills, motivation for sales and sales planning.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed documentation, including technical and financial reports, customer specifications, and regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present to large groups and teams.
  • Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Proven ability to transform client needs into realistic projects with planning and project management skills.
  • Executive presence and ability to respond effectively to questions from executives and customers.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Industry certification such as CSFP or PMP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing
