About the Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading sales efforts in cloud services, building client relationships, developing sales strategies, and architecting tailored cloud solutions. The role involves working closely with delivery teams, conducting technical presentations, and driving revenue growth within a matrix organization, focusing on hyperscale cloud, infrastructure, and security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Map client organization, build outstanding relationships with new business units, and develop sales strategies for cloud services.
  • Run end-to-end lead generation, sales, and RFI/RFP processes for specific solutions.
  • Drive collective focus with multiple teams on larger multi-service line deals.
  • Drive revenue by prioritization, structuring, and leading digital engagements.
  • Envision and build new opportunities within existing and new businesses.
  • Lead financial and contract negotiations, conciliations, and outsourcing discussions.
  • Counsel account and delivery leadership by highlighting risks and issues related to engagements.
  • Develop and implement account growth strategies and business plans aligned with larger growth objectives.
  • Work in a matrix organization to achieve prospecting and sales management goals.
  • Work closely with practices and delivery teams to co-define and drive transformation strategies and service offerings.
  • Architect tailored cloud solutions leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Private Cloud, and DC Solutions.
  • Understand client requirements and prepare appropriate cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Hybrid / Multi-Cloud, Hardware OEMs, Network, Security).
  • Conduct workshops and presentations to demonstrate solution feasibility and value.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of sales experience in consultative selling of hyperscale cloud, infrastructure, and/or security solutions.
  • Proven ability to close deals up to $50M+ and understanding of current industry trends.
  • Proficiency in two or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, IBM, Nutanix, Neo Cloud, etc.).
  • Experience in architecting applications with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Cloud native solutions, Hybrid / Multi-Cloud, Hardware OEMs, Network, Security, Microservices, FinOps, iPaaS, APIs, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of specific industry verticals such as Retail, CPG, Travel, Hospitality, Transportation, BFSI, Healthcare, Manufacturing.
  • Ability to lead the entire sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to contracting.
  • Experience in structuring and specifying solution requirements with clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence decision makers and develop followership.
  • Technical certifications related to cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Understanding of DevOps and SRE concepts.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $171,000-$232,000 per year.
