Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies, makes contact with, and builds relationships with potential customers to win new, profitable business in their assigned geography.
  • Manages the entire sales process from lead generation through closing, developing and managing the sales pipeline to achieve annual sales targets.
  • Researches market to identify potential leads, underserved markets, and revenue opportunities aligned with the company's strategy.
  • Forms relationships with customers resulting in profitable sales of CoolSys services to new customers.
  • Works with the VP of Business Development to develop an annual new customer and sales growth plan with monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer and regional market needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Complies with all sales processes including operating within approved pricing parameters and maintaining current CRM data in Salesforce.
  • Ensures successful onboarding of new customers, including transition to the Account Management team.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or solid work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, including success in adding new customers to a company's portfolio.
  • Ability to generate leads, develop sales strategies, manage all phases of the sales process, and close new business.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM software is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and professionalism.
  • Ability to interface across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to travel approximately 35% of the time.

Nice to Have

  • Prior success selling service and maintenance agreements.
  • Knowledge of grocery retail and convenience store industries.
  • Knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of sales experience, including success in adding new customers.
