About the Role

The Business Development Manager - Barco Control Rooms (BCR) is responsible for generating maximum business opportunities and revenue for BCR in Enterprise Projects in the West region. The role involves marketing the company to enhance brand image, developing the market by identifying key programs and projects, working closely with customers and consultants, and contributing to professional associations within the market. The position requires a proactive individual capable of managing large programs and opportunities, with a focus on enterprise projects and technical product understanding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the BCR revenue goals established each quarter in line with the business plan by selling goods and services to customers.
  • Work closely with end customers to identify and develop opportunities.
  • Develop the market by identifying key programs and projects and participate/contribute to professional associations within the market.
  • Work closely with consultants operating in the ecosystem.
  • Synchronize, explore, and assess additional channels to maximize revenue considering the Barco channel strategy.
  • Analyze customer needs and provide appropriate value propositions.
  • Provide quotations in line with applicable pricing and commercial terms.
  • Provide and achieve meaningful sales forecasts on a monthly basis and maintain up-to-date records in the company's CRM system.
  • Conduct hands-on demonstrations and presentations of Barco’s product offerings on-site and at the main demonstration center.
  • Develop strong collaboration with other BCR team members for better management of large programs and opportunities.
  • Market the company to ensure positive exposure and enhance the brand image.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (business, marketing, engineering) or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of networking is essential.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in selling, business development, or key account management in enterprise projects.
  • A highly driven individual with initiative and a willingness to go the extra mile to close deals.
  • Proficient and creative sales negotiator with outstanding relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience in handling government/PSU business through tenders as well as enterprise business.
  • Knowledge of markets such as audiovisual (system integrators, consultants), utilities, traffic & surveillance, telecom (minimum two markets).
  • Strong and confident communicator and presenter capable of gaining credibility with client managers.
  • Ability to work diplomatically and professionally to achieve client trust and confidence.
  • Excellent English and Hindi language skills; other languages are an asset.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and the ability to use SAP CRM after training.
  • Affinity with technical products and good technical understanding.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of additional languages beyond English and Hindi.
