About the Role

The Business Development Manager I at TE Connectivity is responsible for developing and executing new projects and accounts within the Oil & Gas Market, focusing on penetrating major EPCs and increasing market share and revenue. This remote role involves working with diverse stakeholders, leveraging relationships, and promoting TE's solutions to create a safer, sustainable, and connected world. The position requires strategic planning, market research, and cross-functional project management to support growth in the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers in the customer base, applying professional selling methodology to position TE Energy as a preferred supplier.
  • Provide full-service solutions including material take-offs and custom kitting.
  • Identify new product introduction opportunities such as 5kv 3C term kits and instrumentation cable kits.
  • Manage facility NDA and MSA documentation with major EPCs and contractors.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for the Oil & Gas market and independently assess strategic sales, marketing, and partnership strategies for growth.
  • Manage projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Research and develop new technology for product development and stay current on technological advancements.
  • Monitor and maintain KPIs related to customer and supplier performance standards.
  • Proactively promote TE's value to customers using data and results, and work to service accounts efficiently.
  • Track and report on financial performance, regional strategies, and business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; MS or higher preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas Sector.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial roles.
  • Technical background and experience with oil & gas energy are preferred.
  • Good understanding of products and technologies used in oil & gas industry applications.
  • Experience managing project teams, both directly and through matrix organizations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on listening to customer needs.
  • Working knowledge of engineering design, procurement, and construction practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with managing project teams in multi-project environments.
  • Experience exploring mergers and acquisitions.
  • Knowledge of technological developments in oil & gas applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (MS or higher preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Sector.
  • Over 10 years of experience in commercial roles.

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $138,700 to $173,300, depending on experience and location.
  • Total compensation includes base salary, incentives, and benefits.
