About the Role

The Business Services Sales Manager at Solarity Credit Union leads, develops, and inspires a high-performing sales team dedicated to delivering value to members. The role champions a member-first sales culture, deepens relationships with the business community, and drives deposit, loan, and fee income growth. The manager attracts and coaches top talent, builds strategic partnerships, and represents the credit union in the community to position it as the trusted provider of financial services for businesses seeking long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a robust network of B2B relationships with commercial real estate brokers, centers of influence, and key referral sources, consistently identifying and targeting high-potential business prospects.
  • Meet or exceed business deposit, loan, and fee income growth targets through disciplined sales activity, strategic prospecting, and cooperative relationship principles that enhance member engagement.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the sales team by setting clear production and development goals.
  • Provide regular guidance, celebrate wins and high performance, proactively address non-performance, and foster a member-obsessed sales culture.
  • Provide senior-level advisement to executives and leaders, including pipeline activity, production results, market intelligence, and emerging opportunities for competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate on commercial loan risk management, partnering with collections, credit, and credit quality teams to proactively manage at-risk loans, develop recovery/workout plans, and minimize losses.

Requirements

  • A degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field.
  • Effective communication and relationship building skills.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in business banking, commercial lending, or financial services sales.
  • At least 3 years of proven success in leading, coaching, and developing sales teams in a financial institution or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving loan, deposit, and fee income growth targets while fostering a high-performance, member-first culture.
  • Experience representing an organization in the community and developing strong B2B relationships, including centers of influence and referral partners.
  • Strong knowledge of business banking products and services, including loans, deposits, cash management, and fee-based solutions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
