Business Unit Program Manager IT

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with key business and IT executive teams, vendors, and partners critical to product success
• Perform customer research to gain insight into the "voice of the customer" and understand how customers will gain value
• Perform competitive analysis on alternatives that target customers might use to understand required capabilities and qualities of the product
• Facilitate and drive alignment among key stakeholders to develop product strategy, vision, and roadmap using analytics and customer insights
• Define a release strategy from prototypes to MVP and subsequent releases, adapting as needed in an agile process
• Work with stakeholders to make frequent prioritization decisions based on product analytics, metrics, and customer feedback
• Grow awareness of the product and ensure its value and costs are understood across the organization
• Understand inter-dependencies between products
• Act as the "keeper (and communicator) of the vision" to translate product strategy into daily development focus
• Define the product roadmap based on business outcomes
• Collaborate with product delivery teams to coordinate backlog priorities and provide feedback on sprint demos
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as business, data, and IT architects to align architectures and capabilities
• Work within the product budget to deliver and maintain the product
• Develop proposals, progress reports, BCAs, and relevant documentation
• Ensure all product components meet financial standards and customer satisfaction goals
• Work with stakeholders to develop and refine business and pricing models
• Track product usage and report findings to stakeholders
• Develop marketing and customer demo materials
• Review customer requirements to determine standard onboarding or customization needs
• Balance divisional goals with long-term market trends and establish regional policies for product management

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Business Administration
• 3+ years' experience in diverse roles with increasing responsibilities across business and IT
• 5-7 years' experience in IT and business/industry
• 5+ years' experience in Warehouse Management System implementations
