About the Role

The Student Social Media Influencer will work closely with the CAS Communications and Marketing team to create and publish content on the College's social media (@AUCollege) to help promote the College and AU community to prospective students. This position is available only to enrolled American University students and offers an opportunity to build experience, grow skills, and contribute to the university community.

Key Responsibilities

Create engaging content to increase awareness and community around the CAS brand.
Share information in an engaging and creative manner.
Create and edit video content, including vlogs, filmmaking, or reels.
Engage with faculty, staff, and students on camera.
Attend occasional evening, in-person, or virtual events as needed.

Requirements

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work on a team.
Strong sense of initiative, maturity, and high attention to detail.
Friendly and charismatic with a love of AU and CAS.
Comfortable in front of a camera; public speaking experience is a plus.
Comfortable with using social media and digital tools.
Experience as a content creator/editor through vlogs, filmmaking, or reels is preferred.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
