About the Role

The Client Manager Location Business Development is responsible for providing controller-level services to clients, growing the local market, and ensuring high-quality client service through staff reviews and communication. The role involves managing client deliverables, coaching team members, and developing business relationships within the community, all aligned with the company's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage team deliverables related to clients and internal systems, including reviewing staff work, providing feedback, coaching staff, and ensuring quality of service.
  • Meet with clients as needed, provide financial reports and cash flow analysis, and handle client requests and questions.
  • Review monthly invoices, communicate scope of work changes, and resolve billing issues.
  • Collect on past due clients when they fall behind.
  • Develop brand presence and sales in the local market through relationship building with service clubs and business leaders within a 30-mile radius.
  • Organize and implement local marketing efforts to raise community awareness of services.
  • Work with Business Development staff to meet and close new clients.
  • Use team calendar and task management software to schedule appointments and track tasks.
  • Use QB Time to monitor billable and non-billable hours.
  • Communicate effectively via voice, text, and email with clients and staff, maintaining professionalism.
  • Work closely with corporate leaders to keep teams and clients informed.
  • Present information clearly to clients and staff, define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Attend weekly training meetings, participate in company-wide training, and utilize resources to become a subject matter expert.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Controller-level experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Experience with small business accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Zoom, and QB Time.
  • Attention to detail and ability to be self-directed.
  • Understanding of mathematical concepts in a business environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focus and organizational skills.
  • Analytical thinking skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Controller-level experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting.
  • 5+ years experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
