About the Role

The Client Manager Location Business Development is consistent with the vision and values of the company, provides controller-level services to the company clients and grows the local market. Ensures quality of client services by performing reviews of staff work. Monitors client deliverables and maintains consistent communication with clients. Provides coaching to clients and team members related to business and accounting best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage team deliverables related to clients and internal systems, including reviewing staff work, providing feedback, coaching staff, meeting with clients, providing financial reports and cash flow analysis, handling client requests, reviewing invoices, and collecting past due payments.
  • Business development activities such as brand development, sales in the local market, developing relationships with service clubs and business leaders within a 30-mile radius, organizing local marketing efforts, and working with Business Development staff to meet and close new clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and staff, manage tasks and deadlines using team calendar and task management software, track billable and non-billable time with QB Time, and work closely with corporate leaders to keep the team and clients informed.
  • Present information clearly to clients and staff, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Engage in self-improvement and continuous education by attending training meetings, participating in companywide training events, utilizing resources to become a subject matter expert, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Small business accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online).
  • Google Suite, Zoom, QB Time.
  • Attention to detail and ability to be self-directed and perform to a high standard.
  • Understanding of mathematical concepts in a business environment.
  • Communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focus, organization, and planning skills.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and function in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting.
  • 5+ years experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Controller-level experience preferred.
