About the Role

The Community Ambassador, Boise is a part-time Yelp employee responsible for engaging with the local community, promoting local businesses, and growing the Yelp community in Boise. The role involves event planning, social media management, and fostering relationships with local business owners and the Yelp Elite Squad, all while working remotely with flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities

Attend local events and build relationships with local business owners and community organizers.
Conceptualize, plan, and execute Yelp events in the Boise region.
Engage with the local Yelp Elite Squad online and offline, hosting events at local businesses and updating them on city happenings.
Build Yelp collections for the Local Yelp newsletter featuring weekly themes of local businesses.
Manage the day-to-day curation and growth of Yelp's local social media presence across Instagram and Twitter.

Requirements

Consider yourself a local expert on all things Boise.
Willing to connect with business owners to foster collaboration on behalf of Yelp.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to thrive in an autonomous environment.
Live within 30 minutes of Boise city center.
At least 21 years of age with reliable transportation.
Available to work approximately 19 hours per week.
Able to avoid conflicts of interest such as being a business owner or closely affiliated with one.

Compensation range of $18.00 - $24.00 per hour.
