Community Outreach Manager - Ohio MyCare

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Engages members to mitigate disenrollment, resolve complex member issues, and assist in accessing correct care.
• Creates opportunities with events and presentations to reach and educate the community on company programs.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with community leaders, organizations, and churches and acts as resource for organizations interested in company programs.
• Establishes and maintains relationships and executes growth and retention strategies with providers within assigned territories.
• Conducts community-based new member intake and orientation.
• Measures and tracks results through score carding and identifies root causes to meet retention targets within specific regions.
• Tracks outreach activities, including referrals, partnerships, and event attendance, and reports on progress toward outreach goals.
• Gathers feedback from community members and partners to continually improve outreach strategies and program delivery.
• Creates marketing materials to support member and community education of benefits.
• Delivers presentations, attends meetings, and distributes educational materials to members and non-members.
• Meets and presents to county and community officials.
• Develops and manages regional budgets.
• Organizes and leads member and community feedback meetings across all regions, quarterly.
• Travel within the state is required, approximately 30%-40%, as needed.

Requirements

• Requires a BA/BS degree in sociology, psychology, social work, public health, nursing or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations and build relationships.
• Experience in community outreach and engagement.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to use all Microsoft Office products, including Excel (intermediate level), Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.

Nice to Have

• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Educational background in sociology, psychology, social work, public health, nursing, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
