About the Role

The Creative and Brand Manager supports the development and expression of the Walton College brand through high-quality visual design and creative content. This role is responsible for producing engaging marketing materials, evolving brand assets and guidelines, and ensuring a consistent visual identity across platforms. The manager collaborates with internal partners along with external vendors to bring campaigns and events to life through compelling design. The position is based at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, a land grant institution committed to education, research, and outreach, fostering a welcoming climate and nurturing creativity and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and expression of the Walton College brand through high-quality visual design and creative content.
  • Produce engaging marketing materials and evolve brand assets and guidelines.
  • Ensure a consistent visual identity across platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors to bring campaigns and events to life through compelling design.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance.
  • Create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design, branding, and brand management.
  • Demonstrated experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in higher education or nonprofit marketing.
  • Experience with utilizing accessibility standards in design.
  • Experience mentoring student or freelance designers.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Clickup, Trello, Asana).
  • Experience working with AI tools for graphic design, photo editing, and branding.
  • Knowledge of basic motion graphics skills.
