About the Role

The Creative Project Manager is a highly organized, savvy, energetic candidate that is proactive and fast learning, with proven experience managing the creative development project flow. The role involves working within a creative environment and with creative teams including graphic designers, web production, copy writers, traffic coordinators, production, and marketing teams. The candidate must communicate effectively with senior creative and marketing leadership and possess a strategic mindset for managing project requirements and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the creative project plans, identify and track the flow of tasks between the creative team and internal clients, and report status to ensure timely execution.
  • Ask the right questions tailored to target audiences, work with the Manager to identify and clarify goals and objectives of creative deliverables, and drive kickoff and follow-up meetings.
  • Research outstanding questions, obtain content decisions, and gather missing information from creative, marketing, and merchandising groups to ensure accurate scope, requirements, and deadlines prior to design team engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Project Management Software Tools and MS Office.
  • Hands-on knowledge of the creative development process and ability to speak their language.
  • Ability to break down complex objectives into simplified, executable tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, driving buy-in from diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in a creative and/or advertising environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable communicating with senior leadership.
  • Excellent presentation skills at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of project management beyond coordination and trafficking of creative jobs.
  • Understanding of creative processes such as proofing, design, photography, and creative milestones.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
