Digital Content and Event Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and executes social media strategy for ICT and the ICT Education Foundation, managing content across platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Creates and curates engaging content aligned with the company brand and industry trends.
• Works with the Communication & Public Affairs Director and external agencies to develop marketing plans and materials for events, campaigns, and outreach efforts.
• Develops and executes email marketing campaigns, including copywriting, scheduling, designing, and managing content calendars.
• Assists project manager with the production and planning of conferences, podcasts, webinars, and other virtual and in-person member events.
• Helps identify speakers, topics, and schedules to support business goals and event themes.
• Develops and executes marketing and communication campaigns for the ICT Education Foundation, including producing email campaigns, graphics, collateral, and content to solicit donations, grants, and sponsorships.
• Coordinates activities for the ICT Education Foundation such as board meetings, university visits, and scholarship processes.
• Maintains and updates the ICT website to ensure a visually appealing look and current information.
• Creates, distributes, and tracks user metrics for events and social media channels, including database queries and data analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field.
• Four to six years of experience in communications and/or social media.
• Experience working for an advertising/marketing agency or in-house.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Working knowledge of graphics/publishing software such as Canva, InDesign, and other Adobe programs.
• Knowledge of industry best practices for using data, analytics, and metrics to gauge campaign success.
• Detail-oriented and self-starter.
• Must live within 100 miles of the Austin, TX office and have current authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with an association or non-profit organization.
• Knowledge of the property and casualty industry.
• Knowledge of political and issues-oriented communications campaigns.
• Familiarity with the Associated Press (AP) Writing Style.
• Project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• 4-6 years' experience in communications and social media
