About the Role

This role requires a highly personable, intelligent individual with the ability to lead sales efforts focused on digital platforms while maintaining an energetic, strategic, and entrepreneurial spirit. The position involves full cycle sales, prospecting and closing new clients, and collaborating with them to provide a diverse set of advertising and marketing solutions. The work environment is remote within the Washington DC - Baltimore MD Region, with both tech-based and in-person sales calls with local business owners. The role emphasizes utilizing regional marketing services to deliver results, fostering local business partnerships, and developing tailored digital and print marketing strategies to enhance clients' online presence and market reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new clients through full cycle sales efforts, including face-to-face meetings, presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement tailored marketing plans and solutions that meet their needs and differentiate our services from competitors.
  • Manage leads and customer relationships efficiently using lead alert systems, engagement tools, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness using reporting tools, mobile applications, and emerging technologies like Virtual and Augmented Reality.
  • Identify market potential, develop and execute sales strategies across digital media, mobile platforms, niche publications, promotions, and traditional newspapers.
  • Pursue and secure new business and revenue streams, and retain and expand the existing client base.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers via phone, video conferencing, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) effectively, recording all sales activities accurately.
  • Manage a sales pipeline and devise strategies for long-term success, including regular client check-ins and upselling/cross-selling.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Digital Marketing tools and platforms (Google AdWords, Analytics certifications preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of experience in high acquisition, consultative B2B sales roles.
  • Prior success in building a new book of business.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Competitive nature with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance as required by law.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Google AdWords and Analytics.
