About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and apply skills in writing, researching, and leveraging research/data/metrics to optimize audience engagement.
• Create and design graphics for WKRG.com articles to enhance visual communication.
• Participate in social media content creation and marketing activities.
• Collaborate with the digital content team to produce compelling news website content.
• File copy and communicate effectively with team members using internet and computer access.

Requirements

• Strong writing skills with a basic understanding of AP style and standards for text articles and broadcast scripts.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and highly interested in digital content production and management.
• Access to a computer and internet connection to communicate and complete assignments remotely.

Nice to Have

• Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.
• Practical experience in video acquisition, capturing video, sound, and interviews.

Qualifications

• Students majoring in journalism, social media, communication arts, digital marketing, or similar fields.
• Strong writing skills and self-motivation.
