About the Role

The Salvation Army Cascade Division is seeking a Digital Media Manager to design, create, and update websites and social media channels, promote the organization's programs, and manage digital communications. The role involves supporting the division's mission through digital outreach, content creation, and volunteer coordination, with a focus on enhancing public awareness and engagement in a professional and attractive manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all web communications including reviewing, modifying, and updating website content weekly.
  • Respond to public inquiries via the website and serve as the webmaster for the Cascade Division websites.
  • Adapt, edit, and write content for all social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok, and manage daily social media messaging.
  • Implement strategic plans to grow the division's social media audience and monitor activities across platforms.
  • Research emerging web and social media technologies and develop digital promotional campaign ideas.
  • Collaborate with staff and divisional officers on marketing projects, provide training on website maintenance, and assist with event coverage and digital materials.
  • Utilize digital trends to create public awareness of programs and activities, and develop marketing opportunities.
  • Maintain online volunteer referral systems, develop digital strategies to increase volunteers, and assist with volunteer information dissemination.
  • Coordinate online donation forms and manage online fundraising campaigns using platforms like Classy.
  • Assist in disseminating timely information during disasters and participate in PR & Marketing Committee activities.
  • Support the organization with remote work, equipment coordination, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2 years proven experience managing websites and social media for a non-profit or business.
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles for print and web projects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems and basic HTML editing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple projects with deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, procedures, and policies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to operate a computer and related equipment, including cameras and video equipment (optional).
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and access information from a computer.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in web design, interactive media, graphic design, multimedia, communication, journalism, or related field.
  • Photography and videography skills for promotional purposes.
  • Experience with volunteer management systems and online fundraising platforms.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Certificate in interactive communication, web design, or social media (acceptable).
  • Bachelor's Degree in related fields preferred.
