About the Role

The Director, Brand Activation at Thayers is responsible for developing and executing the national activation strategy for the brand within L'Oréal's Consumer Products Division. The role involves partnering with various teams to drive brand visibility, manage go-to-market initiatives, analyze sales performance, and support retail and consumer engagement efforts. The position is based in New York, NY, and reports to the VP of Brand Activation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Brand Team to develop brand GTM strategy and national activation calendar.
  • Develop brand activation plans including promotions, displays, and launch strategies.
  • Create brand elements for GTM kits and support sales meeting presentations.
  • Evaluate in-year brand performance and provide recommendations to category leaders and commercial leads.
  • Serve as the primary voice of the brand supporting marketing operations and key account teams.
  • Develop brand elements for new item meetings and lead the line review process.
  • Analyze sales data, identify trends and opportunities, and develop account-specific strategies.
  • Manage spend related to activation needs across retailer landscape and national moments.
  • Ensure customer activations align with brand visions and priorities.
  • Support supply chain insights to meet inventory needs and ensure brand feasibility.
  • Work with creative teams to ensure proper brand imagery on displays and customer-facing materials.
  • Collaborate with consumer promotions team on promotional strategies and recaps.
  • Support budget planning with insights for forecasting.

Requirements

  • Experience in brand activation, marketing strategy, or related roles.
  • Ability to develop and execute activation plans and strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and identify trends.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, creative, supply chain, and consumer promotions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and spend effectively across multiple initiatives.
