The Director, Brand Strategy serves as a leadership role within the Brand Strategy team by delivering high-quality work for life science industry clients and facilitating growth of department capabilities, skills, processes, and approaches to enhance our offerings in the marketplace. This remote position reports to the Vice President, Strategy and involves guiding strategic solutions, fostering collaboration, and promoting creative excellence across accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively inform and develop new approaches, ideas, and services
Guide and serve as a go-to subject matter expert for strategic perspectives on client challenges or marketplace dynamics
Oversee the brand and communications direction of an account in partnership with the Account Lead and Creative Lead
Create and steward brand strategies, defining them and building them over multiple campaigns and activities
Frame thinking by isolating a business's problems related to brand and communication and understanding their impact
Promote the brand purpose and ensure it is reflected across all main touchpoints and communications
Identify additional opportunities for growing assigned accounts both externally and within the agency
Forge relationships with internal senior leadership and diverse teams and departments
Track the success of campaigns and accounts and manage the award submission process
Develop the skills of and mentor junior team members

Requirements

7+ years of total business experience
5+ years in pharmaceutical marketing or communications agency experience with demonstrated career progress
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing, or communications
Experience developing successful pharmaceutical marketing strategies
Expertise in using insights, developing strategies into a brand plan, and working in a multi-platform ecosystem
Demonstrated people management experience
Ability to present marketing and strategic plans to main client decision makers
Demonstrated leadership in a collaborative environment

Nice to Have

Experience with multi-platform marketing ecosystems
Strong leadership and mentorship skills
Ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing, or communications
7+ years of business experience
5+ years in pharmaceutical marketing or communications agency experience
