Director Business Development

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and implements business development strategies, including physician relations and new lines of business.
• Builds relationships with physicians to increase business, gauge market intelligence, and drive business to the hospital.
• Collaborates with Medical Staff Services to maintain a comprehensive Medical Staff Development Plan and supports physician recruitment.
• Works with the Director of Marketing to develop strategic direction supporting business initiatives, message development, and execution of advertising and branding plans.
• Assists in consumer marketing campaigns including advertising, community relations, special events, and community sponsorships.
• Develops and provides strategic messaging to build loyalty through various communication channels such as print, direct mail, online, and events.
• Coordinates strategies to differentiate and build market preference for the system’s branded services.
• Oversees messaging and design, providing strategic and operational direction to internal communication with employees and physicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a similar field upon hire.
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare business development or a leadership role managing physician relations, marketing, planning, and strategic/business plan development.
