About the Role

The Director, Business Development role is a strategic position within EPAM, focused on leveraging industry relationships to bring in new business and expand the company's client base. The role involves building trust with decision-makers, positioning EPAM as a trusted partner, and leading sales pursuits in a dynamic, global environment. This position is remote in the USA, specifically in California, and requires a proactive, resilient, and engaging individual with a passion for technology consulting and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as an individual contributor, leveraging years of relationships in the industry to bring in new business and logos for EPAM
  • Procure, process, and close net new accounts
  • Build a pipeline and design a proactive approach to driving new business for EPAM
  • Position EPAM as a trusted partner with decision-makers in prospective and existing client organizations
  • Build, execute, and continuously refine your account and pursuit plans
  • Build an internal network and relationships with key stakeholders, get up to speed on EPAM's history, key value propositions, and experience
  • Identify, articulate, orchestrate, and win business consulting and technology services deals
  • Collaborate with EPAM technology partner companies to win business, work with EPAM's alliance team
  • Participate in and lead EPAM's sales pursuits to secure new business
  • Qualify and drive complex RFP/RFI responses
  • Stay current on the latest technology and market trends via continuous learning

Requirements

  • Self-starter who can quickly learn in a matrixed organization, build an internal network and bring together EPAM's capabilities to deliver strategic value
  • Demonstrated track record of identifying and closing new business in organizations with $2B+ in sales using a consultative and collaborative approach
  • Established network and contacts within multiple industries on the West Coast, helpful if in Media and Entertainment
  • Ability to develop long-term client relationships at the Director, VP, and C Suite levels
  • Deep understanding of technology trends and ability to drive positive change via solutions in Cloud, Digital, Big Data, Analytics, Core Software Engineering, Legacy Modernization, DevOps, Agile, Automation, etc.
  • Experience with evangelizing transformational ideas like digital transformation and organizational change
  • Ability to lead teams of highly skilled professionals on a deal basis
  • Proven track record of collaborating with technology vendors to close business
  • Experience with proactive selling, RFP, and RFI response orchestration
  • Proven networking skills and strong negotiation skills

Qualifications

  • Experience with technology trends such as Cloud, Digital, Big Data, Analytics, Software Engineering, Legacy Modernization, DevOps, Agile, Automation
  • Proven success in closing large-scale enterprise deals
  • Established network within multiple industries, especially on the West Coast
  • Strong negotiation and networking skills
