About the Role

The Director, Channel Marketing at Fidelity Investments is responsible for leading search engine marketing strategy and execution to support Fidelity's business units. The role involves managing paid search campaigns, advising on SEO best practices, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies, and providing thought leadership on search landscape trends. The position is part of the Channel Marketing organization within the Marketing Domain, supporting all business units with a focus on driving growth through search performance and findability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of paid search management, including keyword strategy, budget allocation, ad copy, testing, and audience strategy specific to the lines of business.
  • Partner with external agency teams for campaign implementation, bid strategy, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Paid Media, Communications Strategy, Onsite Marketing, Content, UXC, and Analytics.
  • Advise on SEO best practices, conduct keyword research, perform page audits, and identify opportunities to optimize webpage content for organic findability.
  • Contribute thought leadership on the evolving search landscape, channel trends, consumer search behavior, and competitor strategies.
  • Manage multiple search campaigns simultaneously and represent search efforts within the business marketing teams.
  • Drive campaign performance through data analysis, testing, and continuous optimization.
  • Translate performance data into insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Stay updated with platform changes, industry trends, and emerging tools or tactics.
  • Define the role of search as part of an integrated channel strategy to achieve growth KPIs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Search Marketing.
  • Google Ads certification.
  • Strong understanding of search engine platforms, algorithms, and ranking factors.
  • Proven experience creating targeted campaigns using 1P audience targeting, in-market audiences, and keyword match types.
  • Familiarity with metrics such as CPC, CTR, ROI, and different measurement systems and attribution methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for optimization.
  • Proficiency in SEO standards, website content structure, and information architecture.
  • Familiarity with App Store Optimization (ASO) practices across Google App Campaign and Apple Search Ads.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.

  • Experience working within financial services or similar industries.
