About the Role

The Director, International Marketing (Nerds) at Ferrara Candy Company will play a critical role in accelerating Nerds' global growth by developing and executing marketing strategies, launch plans, and global frameworks. Reporting to the VP International Marketing, this role involves liaising with global and local teams to ensure brand consistency, innovation, and market expansion. The position is based in Chicago, IL, with 25-30% travel required, and offers an opportunity to influence Ferrara's growth trajectory as a leading confectionery company with a rich history and diverse product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop best-in-class marketing and launch plans, strategies, and processes for existing and new markets, liaising with global and local teams.
  • Lead Nerds' strategy, portfolio, and innovation development in line with 5-year strategic plans across multiple global markets.
  • Translate brand growth objectives into an annual plan supporting global objectives.
  • Lead adaptation and deployment of creative campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and local relevance.
  • Develop global strategic frameworks, launch and sustain playbooks, and ensure proper implementation of brand guidelines in local markets.
  • Manage global agency relationships and leverage Ferrara's scale to disrupt the confection category worldwide.
  • Build and deliver annual marketing plans with prioritized activities supporting brand launches and growth.
  • Own and manage the creative asset vault and develop global key ideas.
  • Develop and deploy launch commercialization toolkits, media guidelines, and social/digital media strategies.
  • Lead international stakeholder relationships, including senior leadership, regional and local teams, and third-party partners.
  • Support the ongoing evolution of the international growth strategy and provide inputs for senior leadership decision-making.
  • Track budgets rigorously and understand P&L impacts.
  • Lead a marketeer and foster a culture of collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in brand marketing or applicable consulting roles.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working on international, global, multicultural projects.
  • FMCG industry expertise required.
  • Proven track record of agency management, media campaigns, and marketing activations.
  • Experience managing brands and innovation pipelines in FMCG.
  • Knowledge of regional/local consumer insights, media, trade, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to synthesize insights from disparate data sources.
  • Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships across global and local levels.

Qualifications
