About the Role

The Director of Brand Marketing at Chobani is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the company's brand strategy, consumer insights, and integrated marketing efforts. This role involves managing brand touchpoints, developing meaningful brand programs, and partnering cross-functionally to drive awareness, relevance, and profitable sales. The position requires a seasoned leader who can connect the brand with culture and communities, ensuring the brand's story is compelling across all channels and initiatives. It is a hybrid role based in Lower Manhattan, with three days in-office each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tie cohesive and strategic threads throughout all points in the consumer journey, focusing on awareness, loyalty, and advocacy.
  • Lead product storytelling and go-to-market planning for new product and channel launches.
  • Listen deeply to consumer needs to identify occasions, messages, and products that the company can deliver on.
  • Build the consumer persona and identify strategic audiences for bespoke communications and programming.
  • Keep pulse on market macro trends, competitors, and breakthrough brands across relevant categories to inform actions.
  • Partner on campaign strategy and briefing for new products, seasons, and brand moments.
  • Oversee all brand marketing efforts including events, experiential, seeding, PR, partnerships, and content marketing.
  • Connect brand marketing efforts to the website and growth marketing channels.
  • Own and execute the integrated marketing calendar, determining key moments and messaging priorities.
  • Develop frameworks for goal setting, evaluation, and measurement of campaigns and programs.
  • Manage and coach the Brand Marketing Associate and agency partners, inspiring them to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Build and manage budgets and develop a standardized reporting framework and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing, DTC, Retail, and CPG teams to synchronize brand and performance marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in brand marketing for a consumer products company.
  • 3+ years of people management experience, overseeing at least one direct report and various agencies.
  • Proven results in brand marketing campaign development, social media, communications, and PR.
  • Experience leading integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Experience managing go-to-market processes and executing cross-functionally.
  • Establishing and managing strategic brand partnerships.
  • Developing and implementing organic content strategies.
  • Ability to take initiative, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle ambiguity.
  • Lover of culture and trends, with an ear to the ground on what's new and next.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with consumer insights and audience development.
  • Experience in food or wellness-focused brands.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics.
