About the Role

The Director of Business Development Americas at Satair USA, Inc., part of Airbus, is responsible for identifying and closing new business opportunities within the aviation aftermarket sector. The role involves building a pipeline to meet and exceed targets, preparing tailored pitch materials, conducting business analytics, and managing operational implementation of new OEM business. The position requires liaising with partners, negotiating agreements, and ensuring contract compliance, with a focus on expanding distribution channels and fostering market growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and close new business opportunities and ensure successful implementation of new business with internal stakeholders.
  • Build opportunity pipeline to meet and exceed targets.
  • Prepare Business Partner-tailored pitch material before meetings.
  • Conduct Business Partner specific business analytics and design business solutions.
  • Initiate and secure operational implementation of new OEM business into running operation (NPLI process).
  • Liaise and negotiate expansion of existing distribution agreements or new distribution agreements.
  • Analyze logistical problems and produce new solutions.
  • Maintain dialogue with Business Partner/s on market trends.
  • Ensure contract surveillance and compliance up to three months after implementation within Product Management.
  • Participate in business reviews with OEM Partners.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience working with the aviation aftermarket environment.
  • Experience in inventory and demand planning and performance improvements for assigned product scope.
  • Experience in streamlining and improving demand forecasting, planning, and relevant business practices.
  • Experience developing and implementing global planning policies and supporting tools.
  • Experience driving cross-functional improvements and projects.
  • Experience managing opportunity pipelines from scan to contract execution.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close multi-million dollar deals across engine, nacelle, and airframe spares and components.
  • Ability to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally for business meetings.
