About the Role

The Director of Business Development & Member Engagement is responsible for retaining and growing the membership of FrontPath Health Coalition by building trusted relationships with members, delivering excellent services, and supporting a positive coalition experience. The role involves leading new business acquisition, coordinating resources, overseeing product implementation, and enhancing member communication to demonstrate the value of membership and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and partnerships with healthcare organizations in collaboration with the President & CEO.
  • Implement and track strategic initiatives to add value to members' health plans and reduce healthcare spend.
  • Serve as a visible point of contact for members, brokers, consultants, and third-party administrators, coordinating communication with FrontPath staff.
  • Research and develop new business opportunities, including overseeing requests for proposals and response development.
  • Manage relationships with products and services such as PBM, On Site/Near Site Clinics, Wellness Programs, Dental & Vision, and other employee benefit plan design offerings.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with brokers, consultants, TPAs, pharma vendors, and network collaborators.
  • Prepare and oversee the annual budget for Business Development, Member Engagement, and Marketing.
  • Drive revenue development through new members, products, and services.
  • Conduct onboarding, member implementations, and issue management for new members.
  • Develop and review member communications, host meetings, and support marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain member interaction records in Salesforce and develop content for communications, newsletters, and surveys.
  • Collaborate on contract negotiations and legal reviews with the President & CEO.
  • Review and develop network design opportunities and oversee joint network product development.
  • Support regulatory compliance activities related to self-funded health plans, including CAA, No Surprises Act, and Mental Health Parity.
  • Assist with website development, prospect development, and marketing materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, including client services functions such as strategic account creation and execution.
  • Knowledge of local market forces and health care reform.
  • Ability to create and foster strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience using healthcare data for strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with PC-based Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Salesforce.

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated ability to respond to healthcare data and inform strategic decisions.
  • Experience in health plan design and product development.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory topics such as CAA, No Surprises Act, and Mental Health Parity.

Qualifications
