About the Role

As Director of Business Development - Facilities, you will have an opportunity to lead new business pursuits with Higher Education prospect clients, and work closely with our Sales and the Facilities Leadership Teams in developing overall sales strategies within Aramark's Facilities Service offerings. These include custodial, grounds and landscaping, and operations and maintenance services. The role involves driving sales process leadership from prospecting to closure, developing relationships with prospects and clients, and representing Aramark in the marketplace to build awareness and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales process leadership from prospecting contact through strategy, proposal, presentation and successful closure of Integrated Facilities Services project and annuity-based agreements within a defined territory.
  • Create and develop relationships with/sell to Higher Education prospects/clients.
  • Research, identify, qualify, and target potential clients and develop access strategies to client introductions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key prospect/client personas while understanding and communicating prospective customers' campus culture.
  • Develop and lead strategic processes regarding: Competitive Environment, Account Sales Strategy and Development Strategy.
  • Identify needs and develop customer-specific solutions for those needs.
  • Utilize resources from across Aramark to design and deliver customer desired outcomes.
  • Influence and develop team members without formal authority.
  • Build relationships personally with prospective customers.
  • Represent Aramark Facilities Services at industry organizations and events.
  • Provide market & competitive information.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree is required; MBA is favorable.
  • At least 5 years of solution-based selling experience.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and computer skills including proposal development.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of custodial and maintenance services.
  • Knowledge of Higher Education sales highly preferred.
  • Must have a genuine desire and ability to discover and respond to changing client needs with targeted solutions.
  • Experience in Strategic Consultative Selling and building alliances with decision makers.
  • Strong sales planning, methodologies, and research skills.
  • Financial and technical acumen in developing proposals and responding to RFPs.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to travel 50-70%, including overnight.

Nice to Have

  • MBA degree.
  • Knowledge of Higher Education sales.
