Director of Sales

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Study the market and create a dynamic, successful Sales Plan.
• Use discretion and independent judgment in identifying referral sources and determining marketing strategies.
• Develop strategy for each prospect from initial inquiry through the final decision.
• Plan each customer interaction and maintain a thorough working proficiency of Customer Relationship Management lead tracking database.
• Build customer-focused relationships by advancing the lead through the sales process and gaining customer commitment.
• Conduct weekly strategy and advisory meetings with the Executive Director (ED).
• Submit timely weekly Flash Reports on sales results.
• Strive to meet or exceed targeted occupancy and sales.
• Generate leads and move-ins from targeted referral sources.
• Plan and execute monthly presentations to professional referral sources.
• Create and update Quarterly Sales Plan and implement it.
• Conduct bi-annual competitive market research and report data.
• Review and facilitate the Resident Move-In process, ensuring all paperwork and regulatory requirements are completed.
• Assist in the presentation and value of Sunrise's products and services for residents, families, and referral sources.
• Assist the ED in completing the annual community budget and review monthly financial statements.
• Partner in the delivery of Sunrise University Training and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Attend regular team meetings and stay updated on professional developments.

Requirements

• College Degree preferred.
• Successful marketing and sales experience.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications.
• Willingness to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours.
• Ability to drive a Sunrise vehicle and understand safety and regulatory duties.
• Strong planning, negotiating, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with senior care market and competitive environment understanding.

Qualifications

• College Degree (preferred).
• Proven success in marketing and sales roles.
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
