About the Role

Cloud for Good is seeking an exceptional sales leader to join the team as our Director of Sales to launch our State and Local practice. The Director will be responsible for setting and executing Cloud for Good's sales strategy for our consulting services in the Public Sector. This leader will assume responsibility for the company's State and Local sales goals, as well as building and growing a team of account executives to help drive Cloud for Good's growth. The Director will report to the CRO. The role involves leading sales efforts within the State and Local government sector, managing sales pipelines, and fostering relationships with Salesforce and internal teams. The position is remote, based in the USA, with travel requirements of 20% and candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CRO to set and execute a customer acquisition strategy, and generate annual growth in bookings for Salesforce services in the State and Local industry
  • Carry direct sales quota until the State and Local industry is established within Cloud for Good
  • Be accountable for all aspects of the Sales State and Local team, including sales quotas, pipelines, processes, and enablement
  • Build and cultivate relationships with Salesforce sales organization
  • Work in close partnership with internal Services, Alliances, and Marketing teams
  • Lead pre-sales activities such as scoping, visioning, and preparing high-level pitches
  • Drive RFP processes and strategic sales approaches with core clients
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop strategies for expanding marketing and engagement solutions
  • Create and deliver the executive point of view for Salesforce services and engagement transformation
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting to the executive team
  • Set metrics for sales pipeline generation and manage team to desired outcomes
  • Participate in setting and managing the overall growth and strategic direction of Cloud for Good
  • Participate in performance management through goal setting and reviews for staff
  • Position the business for successful year-over-year growth
  • Be a role model for Cloud for Good's culture and values

Requirements

  • First-line senior sales leadership experience leading sales teams
  • Experience selling to State and Local agencies
  • 5+ years of technology professional services sales experience
  • Familiarity with Salesforce's State and Local leadership is a plus
  • Interest in executing sales work with a 'scrappy' attitude
  • Ability and comfort operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lead multiple initiatives in an entrepreneurial culture
  • Consistent over-achievement of quota and revenue goals
  • Strong operational and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong, proactive leadership skills
  • Bachelor degree strongly preferred
