About the Role

The Director of Shipt Media Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of retail media capabilities and campaigns, ensuring optimal performance, quality, and timely delivery. Located in Birmingham, AL, Minneapolis, MN, or San Francisco, CA, this strategic leadership role involves managing operational strategy, cross-functional collaboration, process optimization, and data-driven insights. The position also includes identifying new revenue streams and collaborating on product development to stay at the forefront of commerce media innovation. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of retail media campaigns, ensuring performance and quality standards are met.
  • Lead operational strategy and manage campaign delivery and performance optimization across multiple channels such as Sponsored Product Ads, Display, and Video.
  • Collaborate with Product and Revenue teams to support development and implementation of new initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with the Data Science team to build reporting dashboards and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders and clients.
  • Monitor KPIs continuously to align operational activities with business objectives and client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, technology partners, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign execution and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations management, digital advertising, or retail media with a proven track record.
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional teams, improving processes, and optimizing media campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Expertise in data analysis, reporting tools, and campaign optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with ad tech platforms, programmatic media buying, and retail media networks.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong knowledge of retail media ecosystems, campaign management, and operational workflows.
  • Ability to utilize data to inform decision-making and improve operational performance.
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, Google Analytics, and media buying platforms such as Amazon Advertising, Criteo, Google Ads.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
