About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Director to manage multiple teams and client portfolios within our rapidly growing Search Marketing practice. The role involves team leadership, client relationship management, developing and administering search and digital account strategies, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a test/learn innovation culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead applicable client relationships on behalf of the Search team.
  • Manage a subset of the Search team across multiple clients, establishing and refining processes for creating, implementing, tracking, analyzing, and optimizing Paid Search campaigns in Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing, Bing, and other search engines.
  • Motivate and inspire team members from junior analysts through associate directors to drive continual performance improvements in client business.
  • Drive new business engagements from RFP completion, strategy development, prospective client pitch through transition to Horizon management.
  • Evaluate new technologies, strategies, and techniques across the search landscape and gauge potential for experimentation within existing and new client engagements.
  • Develop Paid Search strategy and testing methodology and roadmap for client(s).
  • Manage daily relationships with key search engine representatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience directly related to Search Engine Marketing (Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc.) with a focus on direct response campaigns (CPA, CPL, ROI, ROAS).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone, email, and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong command and expertise in managing bid optimization platforms (DART Search, Kenshoo, Marin).
  • Advanced MS Excel fluency (pivot tables, charts, vlookup, sumifs).
  • Experience in leveraging site analytics programs for SEM analysis and insights (Google Analytics, Omniture, CoreMetrics).
