About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively engage in business opportunities by engaging with Pharmaceutical & Biotech companies to expand Codexis share of wallet.
• Identify and build relationships with key decisions makers and influencers.
• Secure new business through understanding of customer's needs and creating a value proposition that is win-win.
• Achieve sales targets by winning new business.
• Understand the pharmaceutical market space, including market dynamics, trends, competitors, and FDA regulations.
• Perform strategic & tactical account planning, management & execution.
• Travel both internationally and domestically to engage with customers.

Requirements

• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech CDMO services.
• Minimum of 10 years business development, sales or account management experience.
• BS, BA, MS, MA in business, marketing, chemistry, biology or relevant field.
• Proficient in SFDC or customer relationship tools.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice to Have

• Network of contacts, positive relationships, and contracting experience.
• Market awareness in pharma/biotech hubs such as San Diego, Boston, Princeton.
