About the Role

The Inside Business Development Specialist at IDEX is responsible for driving and supporting sales opportunities through digital platforms such as CRM and ABM systems. The role involves collaborating with Business Development teams on leads and opportunities in target industries and regions, with a proactive approach to prospecting and addressing customer needs. This position offers opportunities to work across diverse business segments globally, in an environment focused on making an impact and providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and quantify new business opportunities
  • Utilize digital tools to capture key business opportunities with new and existing customers and conduct lead mining
  • Complete distributor quotes per provided selection at the request of Sales and BD team
  • Review and collaborate with the Business Development team on active projects within CRM
  • Enter document and account information for leads and projects
  • Proactively search targeted new construction/addition/renovation projects
  • Serve as first point of contact with relevant leads to engage interest and vet out opportunities
  • Load and maintain project list in CRM
  • Utilize BD and Sales team to assist with in-person/virtual presentations
  • Monitor ABM system daily for website activity and lead opportunities
  • Use ABM system to pull lead contact information for email campaigns
  • Review previous email campaigns for successes and updates needed
  • Collaborate with Marketing on email content and industry-specific materials
  • Manage and serve as first point of contact for incoming leads
  • Distribute qualified leads within CRM to BD team
  • Provide weekly reports on lead generation activities and progress
  • Utilize ABM to target contacts for BD team end-user calls
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • A college degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in inside sales or customer service with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Understanding of lead generation and prospecting techniques
  • Familiarity with sales automation tools and platforms
  • Knowledge of market research and lead generation techniques
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Strong collaborator and team player
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational, planning, and presentation skills
  • Selling and relationship skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Fluent in Spanish language

Qualifications

  • College degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in inside sales or customer service
