About the Role

This high-profile role sits within the AT&T Business Product organization as a critical member of the Business Convergence Solutions team. The position involves developing strategies and delivering complex communications products, including hardware, firmware, software platforms, and lifecycle management. The role requires technology leadership, financial acumen, and cross-company collaboration to guide AT&T Business towards innovative connectivity solutions in a fast-evolving, connected world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-life, ensuring seamless transitions and ongoing product performance.
  • Manage budgets, acquire estimates, and handle requests for funding through the capital process.
  • Coordinate with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, sales support, and marketing as products move to production and distribution.
  • Translate and document customer and technical requirements into final product designs, prepare and present comprehensive business cases, and provide detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze customer needs and identify priorities for new products or services and enhancements.
  • Work with third-party technology partners on new hardware, software, and peripherals to support convergence of wireline and wireless networks.
  • Negotiate with vendors to improve product cost structure, feature functionality, and product support.
  • Perform in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, revenue potential, customer segments, and opportunities for new products or features.
  • Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps, service guides, documentation, results reports, and project plans.
  • Partner with business, technology, UX teams, and third-party partners to design or modify products, ensuring high-quality user experience and alignment with market needs.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to develop pricing strategies and improve product features and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Certification is required in some areas.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management, market research, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong technology leadership, financial acumen, and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Ability to translate customer and technical requirements into product designs.
  • Experience working with hardware, firmware, software platforms, and OSS/BSS systems.

  • Experience with complex communications products and lifecycle management.

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA)
