About the Role

This position will serve the Rapid City, SD area with face-to-face customer service and a variety of industries focused on food sales. The company, Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with local customers including independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. The team builds close relationships with customers by providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The role involves delivering food and supporting independent restaurant owners to achieve their goals, with a focus on customer service and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Implement pricing strategies with customers to achieve acceptable profit margins.
Perform accurate data entry and report preparation in a timely manner.
Meet financial sales goals.
Increase business through account penetration and customer prospecting efforts.
Ensure customers receive orders timely and accurately.
Demonstrate awareness of customer needs and perform job duties to effectively meet those needs.
Implement efficient sales processes and procedures to meet customer demands.
Implement sales plans that recognize customer profitability issues.
Solve service problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists.
Analyze work-related situations and make effective decisions.
Perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
4-6 years' experience in sales/marketing or related area within the foodservice industry.
Based in Rapid City, SD area.

Nice to Have

Bachelor's Degree.
6-10 years' experience in sales/marketing or related area within the foodservice industry.
