About the Role

Ridgeline is seeking a hands-on, strategic BDR Manager to build, scale, and lead our Business Development Representative team through its next phase of growth. As part of our lean but growing GTM Strategy & Operations organization, you'll help lay the groundwork for a best-in-class outbound motion that aligns tightly with Marketing and Sales. This role will shape how we attract, enable, and develop BDRs, using structured coaching, clear processes, and modern tech - including AI tools like ChatGPT and data enrichment platforms. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable leading from the front, optimizing systems, and rolling up their sleeves to experiment and iterate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of high-potential BDRs focused on outbound pipeline generation for enterprise sales
  • Recruit, ramp, and coach new hires using structured onboarding plans and enablement frameworks
  • Create repeatable processes around messaging, sequencing, lead scoring, and rep activity management
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to track performance, campaign effectiveness, and conversion metrics in Salesforce and HubSpot
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to align campaign strategy, lead follow-up, and event execution
  • Enable and equip reps with talk tracks, tools, objection handling, and content to succeed in a complex, relationship-driven sales motion
  • Support experimentation using AI tools, data enrichment platforms, and new channel strategies to improve outbound efficiency
  • Foster a culture of performance and coaching through weekly 1:1s, call reviews, and data-driven feedback loops
  • Build foundational documentation including playbooks, cadences, and training material to support ongoing team growth

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience managing BDR/SDR teams in a high-growth B2B SaaS or FinTech environment
  • Proven track record of scaling BDR functions from small teams to 10+ reps
  • Positive, team-centric leadership style with a focus on building an inspiring, collaborative culture
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and promote individual contributors into closing sales roles
  • Proven operational mindset with hands-on experience in Salesforce, HubSpot, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Familiarity with building outbound messaging frameworks, lead scoring systems, and reporting dashboards
  • Comfortable working in early-stage or category-defining companies

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of the asset management or financial services space
  • Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT or Gong to improve BDR productivity, training, or lead routing
