About the Role

The Brand Manager, Innovation - Pest Control at SC Johnson is responsible for developing and managing an innovation pipeline aligned with North America Pest Control Brand's expanding growth ambitions. The role involves translating unmet consumer needs into winning products, leading cross-functional teams, and continuously improving processes, products, and language. The position requires a strategic leader who can navigate uncertainty, challenge conventional wisdom, and prioritize action within a global consumer packaged goods environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with brand teams to develop winning consumer-led brand strategies
  • Accountable for developing and managing an innovation pipeline that aligns with brand strategy and growth targets
  • Translate unmet consumer needs into winning product concepts that satisfy category and customer requirements
  • Scope, lead, and deliver new product innovations to drive commercial business growth via cross-functional leadership
  • Develop five-year product and marketing innovation pipeline that addresses consumer needs and enhances brand equity by focusing on key problems and aligning with the brand's North Star
  • Understand and leverage consumer and shopper insights to drive segment priorities, analyze data, and make strategic recommendations to support business initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience or advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Experience with product innovation and marketing commercialization in global CPG
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex situations
  • Ability to influence, encourage, and celebrate efforts across teams

Nice to Have

  • 5+ years of marketing experience in developing consumer products
  • Experience with portfolio and product innovation, including translating consumer insights into meaningful offerings
  • Demonstrated ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to remove barriers by focusing on priorities and making timely decisions
  • High sense of urgency to deliver results
  • Curiosity and open-mindedness in applying new learning
  • Prior experience in FMCG/CPG industry
