Market Insights Analyst - Cybersecurity

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues and senior executives across Cisco to evaluate internal and external data related to cybersecurity market trends, opportunities, and Cisco's positioning.
• Build and maintain Cisco's view on how market trends, opportunities, and threats in cybersecurity are evolving.
• Provide business analysis to highlight potential growth areas, risks, and strategic imperatives.
• Collaborate directly with senior executives to optimize investment and business decisions based on market opportunities and threats.

Requirements

• Technical and market understanding of cybersecurity markets and experience analyzing them.
• Analytical skills to develop market definitions, forecasts, and market share analyses.
• Collaborative skills to lead and work with virtual teams across engineering, sales, finance, marketing, and corporate development.
• Business understanding to relate market analysis to key business decisions and questions.

Nice to Have

• 10+ years of experience in the cybersecurity space, including areas like Firewall, XDR, Secure Access, SIEM.
• Experience or familiarity with Market & Competitive Intelligence and/or financial analysis, either at an analyst firm or for a major vendor.
• MBA and/or finance experience.
• Understanding of Cisco competitors in cybersecurity and the broader enterprise IT infrastructure market.
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills to advise Cisco leaders up to CEO level.
• Strong time management and project planning skills.
• Experience using AI tools for research and analytics.
