About the Role

The Media Specialist role is based in Bristol, Connecticut, within the entertainment industry, focusing on digital media and social content creation. The position requires a developed understanding of digital media, non-linear editing software, and current sports trends. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sports fan with editorial news judgment who can create engaging content for a digital audience and manage production timelines effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Be able to identify trending, “must-see”-type moments from games or news stories and work to create and aggregate cohesive content experiences for a digital audience
Analyze content metadata plus usage and performance metrics that lead to content enhancements and storyline improvements
Effectively manage production timelines to ensure projects are executed on time

Requirements

Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays and overnight hours
Minimum 1 year of combined media experience with a focus on digital media
Basic non-linear editing skills experience with at least Premier is a must-have
Strong base of current sports knowledge, including teams, players and storylines
Understand and follow closely the latest in social media trends
Excellent headline writing skills; an understanding of optimal tactics for content distribution
Ability to work quickly and juggle multiple varied tasks during a typical work day
