About the Role

The Paid Media Supervisor at VML is responsible for media planning, buying, and day-to-day management across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic channels. This role involves maintaining and analyzing campaign performance data, assisting in department strategy development, and ensuring timely and accurate campaign delivery. The position primarily focuses on Paid Search and requires collaboration with various teams to develop and execute media plans within a dynamic, innovative environment that values diversity, inclusion, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of client paid media campaigns including strategy, issuing RFPs, trafficking, day-to-day pacing, optimizations and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with Omnichannel Strategy & Account teams to develop and execute media plans for Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Video, Audio, ConnectedTV and others.
  • Create and refine internal and client-facing performance reports and conduct in-depth analyses of marketing campaigns.
  • Provide frequent progress reports regarding online marketing efforts and performance metrics to clients.
  • Assist in training junior staff on tactical execution, processes, working across teams, team policy and job expectations.
  • Oversee strategic execution of media campaigns for junior team members and ensure all media plans are in market and deadlines are met.
  • Present recommendations to managers, clients, and prospects.
  • Actively manage optimizations to ensure client success.
  • Assist in the management of tagging and tracking URLs.
  • Execute media plans within DSPs, publishers, networks, and managed partner relationships such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, Trade Desk, DV360, and others.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, responsible for their career growth, potentially managing 1-2 media team members.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in a paid media role, with digital or media agency experience required.
  • Strong understanding of Paid Search, Programmatic, and Paid Social.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, DV360, TradeDesk, Meta.
  • Strong software skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and the ability to quickly learn new tools.
  • Familiarity with conversion tracking methodologies.
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Coremetrics.
  • Familiarity with DCM Trafficking and Reporting or other 3rd party ad servers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and resolve conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-resolution skills and creative thinking in a dynamic environment.
