About the Role

The U.S. Commercial Risk and Health New Business Analyst ("NBA") will work primarily with U.S. Commercial Risk and Health Sales to operationalize a growth strategy and measure new business activities in U.S. Commercial Risk and Health office(s). The NBA will report directly to the North American Sales Operations team with secondary reporting requirements to the local Resident Sales Director ("RSD"). The role involves developing and supporting new business initiatives, tracking revenue, and managing systems such as Aon Connect, with a focus on contributing to measurable growth across all Aon Solution Lines, especially in Commercial Risk and Health Solutions. This is a hybrid role based in Denver, CO, offering flexibility to work virtually and from the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in National, Regional and working group calls with National Sales Operations and other New Business Analysts.
  • Partner with RSD to identify appropriate new business initiatives to activate in the local office, primarily with the Producers and Account Executives (Sales Team).
  • Participate in meetings with the Sales Team to develop prospect identification and client penetration strategies.
  • Develop and distribute revenue, client acquisition activity, and benchmark reports (e.g., Local Market Analytics, Heat Map) for regional and local leadership.
  • Provide strategic guidance and operational support to local leadership in adopting and implementing U.S. Commercial Risk and Health Sales strategy, including valuation, collateral, and timelines.
  • Support U.S. Retail Marketing and U.S. Sales Operations to ensure all leads are assigned and follow up on opportunity status.
  • Research prospects and clients using analyst reports, SEC reports, Yahoo! Finance, and related sources to identify risk profile information.
  • Identify ideal prospects and clients for marketing campaigns and collaborate with Marketing assets to populate Aon Connect.
  • Execute national sales initiatives at the local level, including industry, product, cross-sell, and named account strategies.
  • Coordinate annual business planning and goal allocation with local office leadership and the National Sales Effectiveness team.
  • Partner with Regional and National Sales Operations to build and deliver pipeline and financial reporting.
  • Prepare revenue and pipeline analytics for sales meetings and forecast calls.
  • Develop and maintain pipeline reporting functionalities reflecting forecasted and recognized sales revenue, working with U.S. Finance.
  • Review marketing campaign effectiveness reports and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure delivery of local events in collaboration with local marketers.
  • Ensure completion of the Office and Individual Sales Plan, including Quarterly Producer Assessment reporting.
  • Provide operational assistance and strategic analysis for prospect and client presentations.
  • Support RSD and RMD by providing revenue analyses, performance metrics, and follow-up communication.
  • Serve as the office Aon Connect (AC) support expert, including training new users, coordinating enhancement requests, and participating in the national support team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of research experience or related formal training.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related major.
  • Strong ability to work closely with cross-functional groups including Marketing, Sales, and Leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and relationship management skills.
  • Process-oriented mindset capable of providing clear, complete analyses to support sales efforts.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM) and marketing automation systems (e.g., Eloqua).
  • Passionate self-starter who can manage multiple projects and exhibit creative problem solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow-up diligently.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with industry, product, cross-sell, and named account strategies.
  • Experience supporting or managing sales or marketing systems like Aon Connect.
  • Knowledge of revenue pipeline management and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with sales and marketing teams in a consulting or insurance environment.
