About the Role

The Multimedia Specialist at Texas Tech University in El Paso is responsible for managing university and clinic social media channels by developing and suggesting weekly content, creating editorial and visual content, supporting photography and videography needs, tracking campus events and news, and generating analytics reports. The role requires adherence to institutional policies and promoting the university's values of Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages university and clinic social media by developing and suggesting weekly content for posts.
  • Creates editorial and visual content for Texas Tech Health El Paso, TTP El Paso, and Texas Tech Dental Oral Health Clinic social media channels under supervision.
  • Assists in developing, writing, and scheduling engaging social media content for multiple platforms.
  • Supports photography and videography needs for events, student life, clinical practices, and faculty highlights.
  • Keeps track of events, news, and happenings across campus.
  • Assists with generating analytics reports every month for all social media accounts.
  • Remains current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory trainings required for the position.
  • Adheres to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Acts in accordance with TTUHSCEP's values and promotes staff engagement across the institution.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year related experience; or a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five years.
  • Experience in editing and providing content for newsletter and magazine articles, guest columns, op-eds, scripts, advertising, websites, social media, and news releases.
  • Knowledge in AP writing style.
  • Experience in editing and writing content.
  • Knowledge of Adobe, project management software, and social media platforms.
