P&C Account Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with questions, concerns, and policy changes.
• Correspond with external agencies to accommodate client requests and ensure timely responses.
• Generate quotes for prospective or existing customers.
• Assist producers with new business development by marketing to prospective clients and suggesting additional products to existing clients.
• Accept and track client claims, file with appropriate companies, and follow-up with clients.
• Perform clerical duties such as entering data, completing paperwork, writing letters, filing policies, and sending marketing tools and proposals.
• Maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry through continuing education.
• Exhibit professionalism in appearance and attitude, maintaining confidentiality and ethical behaviors.
• Provide timely assistance and support to co-workers and customers to ensure exceptional service.
• Adhere to attendance, punctuality, and break schedules.
• Promote and cross-sell company services and participate in training opportunities.
• Remain knowledgeable about crisis procedures and emergency protocols.
• Comply with all bank policies, procedures, and regulations, reporting concerns as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or relevant insurance industry experience.
• Current Nebraska Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license or ability to obtain one within a specified period.
• Valid motor vehicle driver's license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office machinery.
• Attentive to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Effective at interacting with customers, management, and other employees.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Flexible, able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Well-organized with a courteous and diplomatic approach.
• Able to hear and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and external contacts.
• Ability to read reports and use a computer effectively.
• Engage in routine physical activities such as walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance experience.
• Nebraska P&C license or ability to obtain it.
