About the Role

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business. You will be a relationship builder, working in a fast-moving environment, navigating internal processes, products, and teams in managing complex and strategically important partnerships for Google Play and Android. You will manage relationships with partners, execute agreements, and track impact. You will possess strong skills in relationship-building, negotiation, project management, and collaboration. You will engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations. The Social, Work and Life team drives growth for North America Apps by managing our most critical partnerships with the leading app developers. You will manage and cultivate relationships with executives within Business Development, Product, and Engineering to align on strategy and solve for their business challenges. The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners, supporting Google's Product teams with essential partnerships, and creating product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies, and incubating business growth for various products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-growth Social and Messaging developers, a key strategic category for Google Play and Android.
  • Build trusted, long-term partner relationships by bringing them the Google Play's tools and offerings.
  • Drive partner growth and business by delivering growth consulting, analyzing key app metrics, and leveraging an understanding of their business models and the value of Google's platform.
  • Support partners in integrating early access products and key Play programs.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional network of internal Google teams, including Play Product and Engineering, GTM, Growth Consulting, Partners, and Cloud, to address partner issues on Google Play and Android.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Benefits & Perks

  • US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
