About the Role

As Global Brand Strategist, you will be instrumental in shaping UKG's external brand perception, competitive positioning, and market evaluation strategies to drive awareness and familiarity in the global marketplaces our customers thrive in. You will own research & development of an active brand strategy, our brand health success & measurement, and identifying opportunities to strengthen our competitive advantage. Working in close partnership with the Brand Manager, you will define the strategic roadmap for UKG's brand presence—setting the direction for the global and regional brand needs to increase recognition, differentiate UKG in competitive landscapes, and drive meaningful engagement. While this role is strongly externally focused, you will also guide and support internal brand advocacy with the recognition that for a brand to stand out in the world, every employee must stand strong in their belief as active brand advocates. You will be a critical thinker, data-driven strategist, and brand steward, ensuring UKG's brand evolves with industry trends, market needs, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and monitor UKG's global brand awareness, familiarity, and market perception establishing benchmarks for success and tracking improvement over time.
  • Conduct deep market research to analyze competitors across all aspects of their experience—positioning, messaging, creative, products, and customer experiences—to ensure UKG stands apart.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to explore and develop forward-thinking strategies that enhance UKG's visibility, uncover emerging trends, and foster deeper connections with key audiences.
  • Stay ahead of evolving industry trends, audience behaviors, and cultural shifts to inform brand strategy and messaging frameworks.
  • Work closely with marketing, corporate communications, product, and go-to-market teams to embed brand excellence into all major initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Manager to support internal brand advocacy initiatives and ensure brand principles are aligned with market impact.
  • Present key findings, insights, and recommendations to leadership to ensure UKG's brand strategy remains dynamic and effective.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a brand, advertising, or marketing strategy related role.
  • Deep understanding of global brand positioning, audience engagement, and cross-functional collaboration with proven regional expertise.
  • Experience conducting competitive audits, market research, and trend analysis to inform brand strategy.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills to drive brand advocacy and partnerships.
  • Growth mindset with curiosity driven by a desire to listen and learn from internal and external sources to evolve strategy.
  • Ability to professionally engage with, give, and receive feedback from stakeholders, peers, and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills that make the brand strategy, research, and planning accessible to any audience.
  • Outstanding organizational, detail, and time management skills.
